The second season of Jujutsu Kaisen is nearing its premiere, and the manga recently reached a new sales record. Therefore, the franchise will receive a live-action project in the form of a TV commercial to commemorate the occasion.

The announcement came from the official Jujutsu Kaisen profile with a post about the city where the commercial is being produced. According to the information, the location is a live-action version seen in the world of "Jujutsu Kaisen 0," which will air on July 5th in Japan. This production will be made in honor of the manga's 23rd release and its record sales of 80 million copies in circulation.

Synopsis:

The story follows Yuji Itadori, a high school student who becomes involved with a secret society of sorcerers called Jujutsu Kaisen, who fight against curses, evil beings that haunt the world of the living. To protect his friends and innocent people, Yuji decides to join the Jujutsu sorcerers as a trainee under the tutelage of Satoru Gojo, the strongest sorcerer of them all.

The first season of the anime premiered in October 2020 and consisted of 24 episodes animated by studio MAPPA . The studio also handled the production of the film Jujutsu Kaisen 0, which takes place a few years before the main series and tells the story of young Yuta Okkotsu.
