Jujutsu Kaisen – Manga author comments on Gojo Satoru's return

Gojo was absent from the manga for three years, since chapter 91 of Jujutsu Kaisen. However, he returned in the most recent chapter (221) thanks to the efforts of Yuji Itadori and his friends, who managed to break the seal of the Prison Kingdom. His return greatly impressed manga readers, and Gege Akutami took the opportunity to comment on it in the new edition of Shonen Jump.

Check it out:

"Itadori's right ear returning was a mistake, but Gojo's return wasn't!"

This is a joke referring to the chapter in which Itadori appears with his ear intact, even though it had been partially severed in the previous chapter.

Synopsis:

The story follows Yuji Itadori, a high school student who becomes involved with a secret society of sorcerers called Jujutsu Kaisen, which fights against curses, evil beings that haunt the world of the living. Ultimately, to protect his friends and family, Yuji decides to become a sorcerer and joins other members of Jujutsu Kaisen, including his mentor, the powerful sorcerer Gojo Satoru.

Finally, the first season premiered in October 2020 and had 24 episodes animated by the MAPPA.
