Episode 5 of the second season concluded the adaptation of the Hidden Inventory , which explores the past of Satoru Gojo and Suguro Geto . Therefore, the next episode will return to the current timeline of Jujutsu Kaisen, focusing on Yuji Itadori . The Shibuya Incident arc will have 18 episodes in total this season. Additionally, they also announced the anime's new theme song, called " SPECIALZ ," by the band King Gnu .
Synopsis:
The story follows Yuji Itadori, a high school student who becomes involved with a secret society of sorcerers called Jujutsu Kaisen, who fight curses—evil beings that haunt the living world. So, to protect his friends and the innocent, Yuji decides to join the jujutsu sorcerers as a student-in-training under the tutelage of Satoru Gojo, the strongest sorcerer of all.
The anime's first season premiered in October 2020 and consisted of 24 episodes, animated by MAPPA . The studio also animated the film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 , which takes place a few years before the main series and tells the story of young Yuta Okkotsu.
