Crunchyroll confirms streaming of the anime Kagurabachi

Crunchyroll has confirmed that it will stream the Kagurabachi anime starting in April 2027 in several countries, including Brazil . The platform will offer worldwide streaming, with the exception of Japan, mainland China, North Korea , and South Korea . Additionally, Katsuyuki Konishi will voice the character Togo Shiba .

Before its official premiere, the production will hold an international tour with special screenings. The event will take place at Anime Expo in Los Angeles, Japan Expo Paris, ANImagic in Germany, and Anime NYC, showcasing the first 20 minutes of the initial episode. The final leg will take place in Japan in the spring of 2027, with a full screening of the first episode.

A vengeance guided by the sword

The manga follows Chihiro Rokuhira, the son of a renowned swordsmith. After a devastating tragedy, the young man seeks revenge using a special blade. Written and illustrated by Takeru Hokazono, Kagurabachi has been published in Weekly Shonen Jump since September 2023 and has already surpassed 4 million copies in circulation.

Anime team and production team

Tetsuya Takeuchi directs the anime at studio Cypic, with character designs by Keigo Sasaki. The main cast includes Taihi Kimura as Chihiro Rokuhira, Tomokazu Seki as Kunishige Rokuhira, and Katsuyuki Konishi as Togo Shiba. However, the production is handled by Shochiku and CyberAgent.
