Spoilers for chapter 77 of Kagurabachi, released this Thursday (24), have left manga fans on high alert. The narrative plunges into one of the most exciting battles yet, with the blind swordsman Seiichi Samura activating a new and devastating form of his Suzaku power.

While Hiruhiko attempts to manipulate the situation with his dark ability "Play," it is Samura who takes the reins of the confrontation. Weekly Shonen Jump officially releases the chapter on April 28th, promising to redefine the course of the story.

Samura rises from the ashes and surprises Hiruhiko

The chapter begins intriguingly in an art museum, with the introduction of the painter Yoshida Kanryuu, responsible for a work depicting a phoenix in flames. Yoshida recounts witnessing the legend of the bird amidst the war, stating that the myth took real form in the figure of Suzaku. Soon, the spoilers return to the battlefield, where Samura reappears after being presumed dead, leaving Hiruhiko stunned by the apparent supernatural return.

Even with the power of immortality offered by Tobimune, Samura's wounds do not heal completely, which intrigues his allies. The tension grows when Samura, with impressive speed, attempts to cut Chihiro and Hiruhiko at once, initiating a clash of three enchanted swords. Suzaku's flames begin to engulf the field, affecting even the experienced Hiruhiko, who finds himself cornered.

The "Play" skill reaches its peak and transforms the battlefield

Determined to turn the tables, Hiruhiko activates the "Play" ability again, which allows him to control inanimate objects. However, he realizes that to fully master something, one must understand its essence. In a disturbing flashback, the villain's violent past reveals the emptiness of his actions, marking the beginning of the manifestation of the True Realm of his enchanted sword.

It is at this point that Hiruhiko transforms the entire Kyoto Massacre Hotel into a weapon, attempting to bury his opponents amidst the destruction. Even gravely wounded, he ignores the pain, relying solely on brute strength and the number of attacks to overpower Samura.

The revelation of the True Kingdom of Suzaku

Despite the chaos, Samura surprises everyone by emerging from the ruins with flaming black wings. When Hiruhiko believes the swordsman is retreating, he realizes too late that Samura is merely repositioning himself. The return is devastating: Suzaku's flames now not only regenerate his body but purify everything around him—including the damage done to the hotel.

Suzaku's evolution into the so-called "Flames of Compassion" completely changes the dynamics of the confrontation. It is no longer a power focused solely on combat, but a force capable of restoring and healing, transcending the logic of the battles seen up to that point in the work.

Hiruhiko on the verge of defeat and the prelude to a new duel in Kagurabachi

At the end of the chapter, Hiruhiko is seen lying on the ground, covered in blood, his will finally broken. Although the manga doesn't confirm his death, the severity of his injuries and emotional collapse suggest that his role in the plot may have come to an end. Still, the question remains: did he use Kumeyuri's final ability to stage another illusion?

The final scene reveals Chihiro activating her Enten sword, preparing to face Samura. The confrontation between the two protagonists, anticipated for several chapters, finally approaches, promising a memorable fight between two of Kagurabachi's greatest warriors.

Chapter 77 of Kagurabachi will be published in issue #22-23 of Weekly Shonen Jump and can be read for free on official platforms such as the MANGA Plus , the Shonen Jump+ app, and the VIZ Media portal.
