The pause aims to preserve the author's health
According to the official statement, Hokazono expressed interest in continuing to work normally. However, after several discussions with the editorial team, it was decided that the author will take a period of rest to ensure a more stable output in the future.

This is not the series' first recent interruption. In May of this year, Kagurabachi went on hiatus, meaning no issues were published due to the mangaka's sudden illness. Additionally, the series also faced pauses in 2024 due to health reasons and production-related issues.
Kagurabachi's growing success

Released in September 2023, Kagurabachi quickly became one of the leading titles of the new generation of Shonen Jump. The story follows Chihiro Rokuhira, the son of a legendary swordsmith, who embarks on a quest for revenge after a tragedy marks his life.
Finally, the manga has around 4 million copies in circulation and has garnered important nominations, including the Eisner Award. Furthermore, the anime adaptation has already been confirmed for April 2027.
