The anime is based on the manga by Spica Aoki, published since 2018 in Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Alive magazine. The work mixes romance and science fiction elements, exploring kaiju transformations from a school perspective.

The film is directed by Teruyuki Omine at LIDEN FILMS. The screenplay is supervised by Yuniko Ayana, while the character design is by Mitomi Nakayama. Production is by GOOD SMILE FILM. The main cast includes Hikari Senga as Kuroe Akaishi, and Daishi Kajita as Arata Minami. Other cast members include Akira Sekine, Haruka Shiraishi, and Kotono Mitsuishi.
Synopsis
