The manga Kaijuu Iro No Shima ( Monster-Colored Island or Scheelite-Colored Island ) received a beautiful promotional video this Friday. According to Kadokawa, the video serves to promote the release of the manga's first compiled book, which arrives on March 9th, and does not confirm a full anime adaptation of the manga .

The manga follows two girls, Kon Chigawa , who has never left her home on the island, and Furuka Hitoto , who arrived on the island from the big city. Kon often goes to the "Monster Hole," a seaside cave believed to be the home of a monster. One day, while going to the cave, Kon spots Furuka atop a seaside cliff.

Shinpei Tomooka (Trinity Seven: Eternal Library & Alchemic Girl) directed the video, with character designs by Yūta Kiso.

Finally, Hattori launched Kaijuu Iro No Shima in Kadokawa's Bessatsu Dragon Age magazine in September 2018.
