Our wish began 12 years ago, with the death of a god (That One), who gave his life to fulfill our desires. The deadly Kamierabi game, which decides the next god, was interrupted after the disappearance of Goro Ono. Twelve years have passed, and the event became known as a case of collective hallucination. Everyone remembers what happened, but no one recalls Goro's existence. Ral, a young elementary school student, is the only one who remembers his brother, Goro, even though his mother denies his existence.
