Kimetsu no Yaiba gets a movie based on the Demon Train arc

With the immense success of the anime series , Kimetsu no Yaiba ( Demon Slayer ) has been given a film adaptation based on the Demon Train arc . Official Website

In addition to the news that caught fans by surprise, the film also received its title, Gekijouban Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Ressha Hen, although a release date has not yet been confirmed.

The Demon Train arc is the 7th arc of the story, spanning chapters 52 to 66. In this story, Enmu is tasked with eliminating Tanjirou Kamado to secure his prominent position. Tanjirou, Zenitsu, and Inosuke then embark on a quest to find the Infinity Train and locate Kyoujourou Rengoku, the Flame Pillar.

As expected, the series ended up boosting manga sales, which now exceed 10 million copies, a growth of 4 million copies in just 4 months.

The animation for the series was handled by studio ufotable (Fate/Zero, Kara no Kyoukai), directed by Haruo Sotozaki (Tales of Zestiria the X), and the character design is by Akira Matsushima (Maria Watches Over Us, Tales of Zestiria the X).
