Studio PA Works has revealed a new original anime feature film project titled Komada Joryusho e Yokoso.

The film will premiere in Japan in November, but it will also be screened at this year's Annecy International Animation Film Festival as part of the Contrechamp category.
PA Works classifies the anime as the fifth installment in its "workplace" series about people and their jobs, following Hana-Saku Iroha, Shirobako, Sakura Quest, and The Aquatope on White Sand.

Masayuki Yoshihara (The Eccentric Family, Mai no Mahō to Katei no Hi) is directing the film, while Yukito Kizawa and Munemasa Nakamoto, who worked extensively on scripts for the Monogatari series and the Sword Art Online franchise, are writing the screenplay. Tomomi Takada, as chief and in-between animator, drew the original character design concepts, while Kousuke Kawazura is designing these characters for animation, while also serving as chief animation director. Additionally, Tatsuya Katō is composing the music. DMM is credited as producer, and finally, GAGA Corporation is distributing.
Synopsis
The film is therefore centered on Rui Komada, the young head of her family's whisky distillery. She took over the distillery after her father's death. Facing financial difficulties, a divided family, and the aftermath of a natural disaster, Rui takes on the responsibility of strengthening her family's ties by reviving the family's signature Japanese whisky.
