My name is Rafael Alves, known as Shinzo. I created the AnimeNew website in 2009 to offer news about anime, manga, and games directly from Japan.

A few days after the terrible attack suffered by Kyoto Animation , which has claimed the lives of 34 people so far, thousands of people around the world have already paid their respects through fan art, tributes, and other forms of expression, trying to help the studio in any way possible, no matter how small.

The famous Japanese news outlet NHK had reported that the animation studio would be officially accepting donations 24 hours after the tragedy. This, however, did not initially materialize.

However, fans, through alternative donation and fundraising websites, began to take sides and managed to raise around 2 million dollars through the well-known website GoFundMe .

Despite everything, today, July 24th, KyoAni officially released on its website the bank account details where they will be receiving donations (which you can see below). The information also includes the SWIFT code for international transfers.

BANK NAME: THE KYOTO SHINKIN BANK
SWIFT: KYSBJPJZ
BRANCH NAME: MINAMI MOMOYAMA BRANCH
BRANCH NUMBER: 048
ADDRESS: 16-50, YOSAI, MOMOYAMA-CHO, HUSHIMI-KU, KYOTO-SHI, KYOTO-HU, 612-8016, JAPAN
ACCOUNT NUMBER: 0002890
ACCOUNT HOLDER: KYOTO ANIMATION CO.,LTD., REPRESENTATIVE DIRECTOR, HATTA HIDEAKI

Furthermore, KyoAni also highlights three points, which are:

1. The money raised will be given to the victims and their families to help them with any necessary costs, and will also be used for the reconstruction of the studio.

2- All donation transactions will be transparent; any action taken with the money raised will be properly disclosed.

3- All official fundraising activities will be announced by Kyoto Animation through its website.

Kyoto Animation has revised its statement on the incident on its website, updating it to say that it does not intend to release the names of the deceased until the investigation is complete, out of respect for their friends and family.
