Bandai Namco has just revealed details about the Link Travelers project, a multiplatform franchise that integrates Shokugan toys (collectible candy) and Gashapon (capsules). The musical highlight is “Transcendence”, the main theme played by Angelina 1/3, star of the band Gacharic Spin and one of the most recognized voices of contemporary Japanese rock. The track, consisting of Eijun Suganami (The Back Horn), is now available globally on digital platforms.

This release marks the expansion of Bandai in the collectible market, following the resounding success of the Gashapon Quest line. Link Travelers promises to revolutionize the segment with highly detailed figures, interchangeable pieces and an engaging narrative that invites fans to customize their own adventures. Pre-sales, opened in November 2024, sold out in record time, anticipating the success of the line that hits stores in May 2025.
The creation of “Transcendence”: a musical journey
The choice of Angelina 1/3 to interpret the theme was not by chance. Known for her powerful voice and charisma on stage, the artist brings a unique energy to music, which talks about overcoming and freedom, central themes of Link Travelers narrative. In testimony, she reveals that she was inspired by the characters in the franchise, which "fight against darkness in search of light."
The creative process was attended by Gacharic Spin drummer, whose intense Twin Bass Drums are taken to add weight and drama to the composition. Eijun Suganami, responsible for the production, explains that he sought to create an epic sound, capable of transporting the listener to the game universe. “We wanted something to sound like a routine escape, an explosion of freedom ,” he says.

K. Sawa, leader of the Bandai franchise development, describes the partnership with Angelina and Suganami as “a meeting of destination”. He points out that music not only complements the look of the game, but also amplifies his emotional experience. The first promotional video, released on April 28, already accumulates millions of views, showing the project's potential to become a cultural phenomenon.
In addition to toys, Bandai plans to expand link travelers to other media, including possible animated adaptations and digital games. With a major team and an innovative concept, the franchise promises to leave its mark in the world of Japanese and international entertainment.
