The highly anticipated The Legend of Zelda version of live-action has a confirmed streaming destination. After its theatrical run, the film will be available exclusively worldwide on Netflix.

The news comes after Sony Pictures Entertainment deal Pay-1 with the platform. This means that all of the studio's films will be added to Netflix's catalog after their theatrical and home entertainment releases.

Among the titles officially mentioned in the press release, the highlight was the adaptation of The Legend of Zelda, produced in partnership with Nintendo. The film is scheduled for a global release on May 7, 2027, marking a new phase for major video game franchises in cinema.

Furthermore, the agreement includes major productions such as Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, the feature film Nightingale , and the ambitious Beatles film project, divided into four films. Thus, Netflix further reinforces its commitment to major releases after their theatrical run.
