The new anime Love Live! Superstar!! will have 12 episodes in its season. According to the official website, the series premiered on Japanese television on July 11th, broadcast by Sunrise.

Synopsis:
Love Live! Superstar!! takes place at Yuigaoka Junior High School, a newly established school located between the Omotesando, Harajuku, and Aoyama neighborhoods of Tokyo. Five girls, including Kanon Shibuya, have a fateful encounter with the school's idols. Kanon then decides: “I love to sing. I want to make something a reality with music!” Many feelings converge on a star who has only just begun to grow. The future is blank and full of possibilities for these girls, and the story is only just beginning.
