Among the highlights, the new characters Shichōka and Selma Therese have been confirmed in the cast. Voice actress Shion Wakayama plays Shichōka, while Tomoyo Kurosawa voices Selma Therese, expanding the film's core cast of characters.
The direction will be handled by Yukihiro Miyamoto, who has already worked on the original series and spin-off projects. Furthermore, Studio SHAFT returns to the production, maintaining the franchise's visual identity.

The project also brings together important names such as Gen Urobuchi on the script, Akiyuki Shinbo as supervisor, and Yuki Kajiura on the soundtrack. The team also includes new professionals in visual design and art direction.

The film will arrive in Japanese theaters on August 28, 2026, after several delays over the past few years. Initially scheduled for 2024, the film underwent schedule changes until reaching its new official date in 2026.
