The fifth compiled book volume of the manga previously revealed last August that the sixth and seventh volumes will be the final volumes.
The manga adapts volumes 9-11 of Tsutomu Satou's original series, The Irregular at Magic High School. Majiko launched the manga in G Fantasy in December 2015. In August 2018, Panini released the manga in bookstores throughout Brazil.
Yen Press has licensed the original The Irregular at Magic High School light novel series and The Honor Student at Magic High School spinoff manga by Yu Mori.
The novel series inspired a 26-episode anime television adaptation that premiered in April 2014, directed by Manabu Ono at Madhouse.

The novel series inspired a 26-episode television anime adaptation that premiered in April 2014, directed by Manabu Ono at Madhouse. Aniplex of America licensed the anime and released it on home video in 2015; Netflix still streams it.
