The One Piece franchise has announced a special treat for fans of the series. Singer Maki Otsuki will return to the universe created by Eiichiro Oda to perform the theme song for One Piece: Heart of Gold , a TV special that served as a direct link to the film One Piece Film Gold .
Known for marking the early years of the anime, Otsuki was responsible for the ending themes "memories" and "RUN! RUN! RUN!", released at the beginning of the television adaptation. Now, after 15 years away from the franchise, she returns with the new track "Destiny," which will be released in the Japanese market on July 20th.
