MAPPA wants to animate all of the works by the author of Chainsaw Man! That's right! At Crunchyroll Expo 2022 in early August, IGN France interviewed the team from MAPPA, which is responsible for producing the Chainsaw Man. At the event, MAPPA made it clear that they want to animate other works by Fujimoto.
In an interview, the MAPPA team said, “We have read all of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s works. We would like to animate all of his works at MAPPA,” denoting a fascinating interest in the rest of the author’s works, including the popular one-shots Look Back and Sayonara Eri (Goodbye, Eri). Tatsuki Fujimoto also created great works with a unique vision of the world.
Fire Punch is a demonstration of this.
Synopsis Chainsaw Man:
The story takes place in a world where demons are born from human fears. Although they are generally dangerous and malevolent, humans can make contracts with demons to use a portion of their power. Denji is a depressed young man trying to pay off his deceased father's debt to the yakuza by selling several of his organs and working as a demon hunter. Denji also possesses a dog-like demon named Pochita, which resembles a chainsaw and assists Denji in his work.
