First, the author commented on the manga's beginnings, where he started by posting on Twitter. Soon after, with its success, he always considered serializing it, and it always focused on a horror plot! On the other hand, director Yuki was quite concerned with finding a good designer from the start, as he was thinking about the monsters appearing in various forms. It's no wonder the result was so perfect.
Furthermore, they feel bad about having to censor several of the more grotesque parts, since the designers always worry about the smallest details.
