The controversy surrounding the use of AI (Artificial Intelligence) in Neverness to Everness continues to grow after several players claimed AI was used in the game. In response to the backlash, social media profiles are arguing that the project was not created solely using artificial intelligence tools.

In defense of the game, players highlight that the project involved years of work by programmers, musicians, artists, scriptwriters, voice actors, and various other professionals. Part of the community also argues that the title would not have garnered so much attention in such a competitive market if it were just a "soulless project.".

However, it is noted that some unfinished artwork or materials may have used AI during the production process. Still, the statements claim this doesn't fully address the criticisms raised by the community. Furthermore, rumors suggest that the internal departments of Neverness to Everness work separately.

Players confirm the use of AI in Neverness to Everness

At one point in the game, players exploring the environment encountered background art referencing the film Tenki no Ko (Makoto Shinkai).

The entire controversy began in Asian countries, but escalated after negative reactions in the West. According to the text, Chinese and Japanese forums began commenting on the controversy generated by some Western audiences regarding something considered "less serious" by some Asian players.

Some profiles revealed that they contacted Hotta Studio seeking an official statement. However, due to Golden Week in China, a response may take a few days.

influencers and the alleged "non-use of AI"

Meanwhile, several influencers have halted the production of content about the game, raising concerns among players who follow the project and fear impacts on the title's future. Therefore, the situation involving influencers and the alleged "non-use of AI" is believed to have originated from the marketing department, responsible for communication with content creators.

Currently, Neverness to Everness is available for Android, iOS, PlayStation 5 , and also for PC and macOS via official download.
