“ Nintendo ” stated on Sunday night (12) that the company's president, “ Satoru Iwata ”, died last Saturday 11/07 at the age of 55.
The information was given in a letter, published on his official website, indicating that the cause of death was cancer in his bile duct.
Iwata had been battling a tumor. In July 2014, he underwent surgery, which left him out of his role for six months, preventing him from participating in E3 of the same year.
