Toei Animation has confirmed that the One Piece anime will officially enter the Elbaf Saga in April 2026. This will occur shortly after the conclusion of the Egghead , scheduled for December 2025. The new phase promises a unique approach to adapting Eiichiro Oda 's manga . An anime episode will be adapted for each chapter of the manga —something never before done in the series.
According to the studio, the anime will undergo a strategic hiatus between January and March 2026. This period, called a " recharge period ," is aimed at enhancing visual and narrative quality. The goal is to deliver denser, more cinematic episodes, totaling up to 26 episodes per year . Therefore, Toei also revealed the first teaser visual for Elbaf and the Straw Hat Pirates' new costumes . This screening highlights the beginning of the long-awaited journey to the land of giants.
Additionally, the studio presented news about the One Piece Heroines , based on the light novel One Piece Novel Heroines . The first official artwork of Nami and Nico Robin was highlighted, revealing a new animation style geared towards female audiences.
Finally, the spin-off anime "Koi Suru One Piece" will have a special panel at the New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival . The presentation will feature Hiroshi Kitadani , who performed several of the series' iconic openings. Additionally, the mini-album "KoiPi ," featuring songs from the project, is scheduled for release on November 24, 2025 .
