The highly anticipated One Piece Gold movie has released a new trailer revealing that Akainu (Sakazuki) will make a small appearance in the film. One Piece Gold is scheduled to premiere in Japanese theaters on July 23rd.
Synopsis
The story follows Gild Tezoro, a casino owner who controls the enormous golden ship called Gran Tezoro. He is a user of the "Gol Gol Fruit" (Akuma no Mi). He is an extremely wealthy man, said to possess 20% of all the "Beli" (One Piece currency) in the world.
Hiroaki Miyamoto, assistant director of One Piece: Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island, is directing the film, and Tsutomu Kuroiwa (live-action Black Butler and Liar Game: The Final Stage) is writing the script. Eiichiro Oda will serve as executive producer.
The film was announced in August of last year, while the last film in the Luffy and company saga was "One Piece Film Z," which arrived in Japan in December 2012.
