My name is Rafael Alves, known as Shinzo. I created the AnimeNew website in 2009 to offer news about anime, manga, and games directly from Japan.

The wave of live-action adaptations just keeps coming! It started with Naruto and Bleach, and now the anime One Piece will have its own live-action TV series. The information came via an announcement from Shueisha during an event held at Tokyo Tower.

The live-action adaptation is a celebration of the series' 20th anniversary and will be produced by Tomorrow Studioseries Cowboy Bebop and the hit Prison Break. There is no release date yet.

For some time now, news has been circulating on the internet about a possible live-action adaptation of One Piece, and this time it seems to have come true.

Eiichiro Oda's great work, the manga, was initially released in Brazil by Conrad, but this was canceled at volume 70, which corresponded to the original volume 35. Publication was restarted by Panini in February 2012, who began the series from volume 1 and also from the point where Conrad had left off.
