My name is Rafael Alves, known as Shinzo. I created the AnimeNew website in 2009 to offer news about anime, manga, and games directly from Japan.

One Piece fans : for the seventh year in a row, the manga was the best-selling in Japan. According to Oricon, 14.1 million copies were sold between December 1, 2014, and November 30, 2015 – a number 18% higher than Eiichiro Oda's manga's performance last year.

Since One Piece had more volumes released in 2015 (four, from volume 76 to 79) than in 2014 (when three were released, from volume 73 to 75), this explains the percentage growth. In any case, the pirate adventure has led the ranking since 2009. The Seven Deadly Sins is in second place, owing much of its popularity to the anime that aired on Japanese TV between October 2014 and March of this year.

Check out the top 10:

1 (1) One Piece – 14,102,521 (11,885,957 in 2014)
