This is for fans of One Piece , for the seventh year in a row the manga was the best-selling in Japan. According to Oricon, 14.1 million copies were sold between December 1, 2014 and November 30, 2015 – 18% above the performance of Eiichiro Oda's manga last year.
As One Piece gained more volumes in 2015 (there were four, from 76 to 79) than in 2014 (when three came out, from 73 to 75) this explains the percentage growth. In any case, the pirate adventure has topped the ranking since 2009. The Seven Deadly Sins comes in second, which owes much of its popularity to the anime shown on Japanese TV between October 2014 and March this year.
