Every otaku should know that it's very difficult for an anime to get a good live-action adaptation, which is why some One Piece fans doubted the series' potential. However, Netflix invested heavily in this project to make the best possible adaptation. As a result, the One Piece series garnered an 82% approval rating from critics and 94% from the audience.
Finally, the main cast of the series includes Iñaki Godoy as Luffy, Mackenyu Arata as Zoro, Jacob Gibson as Usopp, Taz Skylar as Sanji, and Emily Rudd as Nami. The manga's creator, Eiichiro Oda, himself participated in the series' production as a supervisor alongside executive producers Steven Maeda and Matt Owens. The series is now available on Netflix.
Synopsis:
The story revolves around Monkey D. Luffy, a young man who gained a body made of rubber after eating the magical Gomu Gomu no Mi (Rubber Fruit). Inspired by his childhood idol, the powerful pirate Shanks the Red-Haired, Luffy decided to become a pirate and sail the seas to find the mythical treasure, the One Piece, and proclaim himself the King of the Pirates.
