On Twitter, Mengo Yokoyari says he is aware of the success of Oshi no Ko among children and teenagers who follow manga. However, she also says that her content is more aimed at an adult audience, which follows Young Jump . So the mangaka advises that minors should be supervised by adults when reading something like Oshi no Ko.

“I'm really, really, really grateful that the kids unexpectedly enjoyed the story. However, the magazine is for adults and contains some extreme descriptions, I think it would be safer if they read it with parental supervision and care.

Also, my previous works have basically the same images, but the contents are all very adult-oriented, so it would be safer to wait until they are old enough to choose their own books.”
