In this video, Diego Deguchi comments for you all on the interview with the professional manga artist Satoshi Mizukami, author of Hoshi no Samidare.

Mangaka (漫画家? lit. cartoonist) is the Japanese word for a comic book or graphic novel artist. Outside of Japan, manga generally refers to a Japanese comic book, and mangaka refers to the manga's author, who is usually Japanese. In 2006, approximately 3,000 professional mangakas were working in Japan
