News recently reached our ears that the PlayStation 4 would be backwards compatible with the PlayStation 1 and PlayStation 2, however information about how this would work had not been given until then.
Today, 12/04/2015, Sony gave us the first information about backwards compatibility that starts tomorrow! (05/12/2015). Physical PS2 games will not be supported on PS4. The games will be sold in digital format through the PlayStation Store.

According to Sony, the productions listed were adapted together with the original developers. All games will have trophy support, upscaling to 1080p, compatibility with SharePlay, Remote Play, streaming, manuals and details shown in the PS4 news feed.
