Ore to Yu Nii! | Boys-love anime reveals cast and main staff

New details have been officially released regarding the anime adaptation of Ore to Yu Nii! ( Me and Older Brother Yu ). The team responsible revealed the main cast, the production staff, and a first promotional image for the series based on the boys-love manga created by Miyuki Nakayama .

Shinnosuke Tokudome will play the protagonist Tsubaki, while Shuichiro Umeda will voice Yu, the older friend who marks the story. The production will be directed by Noriko Hashimoto, known for her recent Given, with scripts supervised by Yuniko Ayana, of BanG Dream!.

Synopsis

The story follows Tsubaki, an elementary school boy who harbors feelings for Yu, his childhood friend who is now in high school. Despite their affection, Yu still treats Tsubaki like a child. Determined to change this dynamic, Tsubaki decides to grow up as quickly as possible to make Yu happy. The plot follows this peculiar bond between friendship, maturation, and feelings that go beyond childhood companionship.

The origin of manga and recognition of the work

The manga Ore to Yu Nii! is a boys-love work written by Miyuki Nakayama, an author also known for Blend S.The series began publication in September 2021 on the Comic CMOA website, as part of Square Enix's BL Gangan BLiss imprint.

Furthermore, the work gained prominence by winning the Best Next Generation category at the 2022 BL Awards from the Chil-Chil website. Currently, the manga has six published volumes, while the seventh will arrive in Japan on March 21, 2025.
