Fans of Princess Principal: Crown Handler can now mark their calendars: Chapter 4 will be released on Blu-ray in Japan on January 28, 2026.The film originally premiered in Japanese theaters in May 2025 and is now arriving in a physical version packed with extras.
Among the highlights is the brand new OVA “Fabulous Platypus”, which is about 6 minutes long. The story follows the White Pigeon team as they try to save the school's Natural History club during an academic exhibition. The episode is directed by Masaki Tachibana and written by Akira Kimura.
In addition, the Blu-ray will include a bonus package:
- Special program “Princess Principal Secret Meeting Super 4!!!” with the main cast;
- Behind-the-scenes videos and press conferences from the launch in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Aichi, and Osaka;
- Collection of trailers and commercials;
- Audio commentary from voice actors and technical crew.
Edition details
The Blu-ray will feature cover art by Kohaku Kuroboshi, the creator of the original character designs. The material also includes:
- 32-page full-color booklet with exclusive information;
- Animation supervision corrections across 16 pages;
- Video extras totaling over 100 minutes of additional content.
The suggested price is ¥8,580 (including taxes).
Where to watch before release
It's worth remembering that Chapter 4 has been available for digital rental in Japan since August and will remain available until November 24, 2025.
