After years of requests from Weekly Shonen Jump readers , the Psyren anime has finally revealed its first animated scenes. Distributor REMOW released a new promotional teaser showcasing the adaptation in motion for the first time, and confirmed the series' premiere for October of this year.

Teaser introduces the world of Psyren

Based on the manga by Toshiaki Iwashiro, published between 2007 and 2010, the anime follows Ageha Yoshina, a student who finds a mysterious red calling card. Shortly after, his childhood friend Sakurako Amamiya disappears without explanation, leading the protagonist to investigate a series of disappearances linked to an organization known only as Psyren.

As Ageha progresses in his quest, he becomes entangled in a deadly game that completely changes his destiny. The work blends action, science fiction, mystery, and psychic powers, characteristics that helped transform the manga into one of the most remembered cult titles of the modern Jump era.

Anime adaptation team

The production is being developed by the Satelight, with Katsumi Ono directing. Shin Yoshida is responsible for the scripts, while Akira Ōkuma is in charge of character design. The soundtrack features compositions by Takashi Ōmama, Tatsuhiko Saiki, and Shū Kanematsu.

With its premiere scheduled for October, the anime brings back one of the most talked-about series among fans who have been waiting for an adaptation since the manga. Keep following AnimeNews for more news about anime, manga, and upcoming releases this season.
