Darren Watkins Jr., known as IShowSpeed, is an American streamer, who hired the rental girlfriend service to have a companion in Japan. So he showed in a video on his channel what the experience of hanging out with a rented girlfriend is like. However, the girl he hired is not fluent in English, so it was difficult to feature her in the video. Still, the date went off without a hitch as they had fun around the place.
In Japan, the girlfriend-for-hire service does not provide sexual activities with the hired girls. Instead, the service just allows customers to have a romantic dating experience, like being a date with you. This includes an escort for dinner/lunch, chatting and walking with someone, but without sexual involvement.
Therefore, girlfriends for hire is something different from services like prostitution, but this can vary depending on the place. In accordance with the regulations and laws established by the service and its location in Japan, the client and the “girlfriend” will not be policed to have an “unofficial” relationship at any time.
