We have the first images from the new Resident Evil movie : Welcome to Raccoon City. According to the IGN, the first trailer should be released in the next few days.

The new film is written and directed by Johannes Roberts (The Strangers: Prey at Night), and is set in 1998. It will tell the origin story of the franchise, revealing the secrets of the Spencer Mansion and Raccoon City. The cast also includes Hannah John-Kamen as Jill Valentine, Robbie Amell as Chris Redfield, and Donal Logue as Brian Irons.
Finally, the Resident Evil arrives in theaterson December 2nd.
