For the past few weeks, rumors have been circulating that Rumiko Takahashi 's manga Ranma ½ would be getting a new anime adaptation . Now, a new image suggests that confirmation is imminent.

Ranma ½” is a completely new anime project. The announcement says they will also release a special trailer soon. They will reveal more information about the project in a live stream on July 17, 2024.

However, our bet here at AnimeNew is that it will be a remake, like Urusei Yatsura from 1981.

Therefore, Ranma ½ is a manga created by Rumiko Takahashi. The story follows Ranma Saotome, a young martial artist who, after an accident, transforms into a woman when wet with cold water and returns to his male form with hot water. He seeks a way to break this curse.

Therefore, Ranma ½ was published in Weekly Shōnen Sunday from September 1987 to March 1996 and compiled into 38 volumes by Shogakukan. Studio Deen adapted the manga into two anime series: the first with 18 episodes and the second, Ranma ½ Nettōhen, with 143 episodes. However, Fuji Television aired both series between 1989 and 1992. In addition, 14 OVAs and three films were released. In 2011, Nippon Television broadcast a live-action special.

Finally, in Brazil, Editora JBC published the complete manga after an initial attempt by Animangá, which did not complete the publication.
