During the Aniplex Online Fest 2023 event, the new opening and ending themes for the anime Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X) were revealed . The anime premiered on Fuji TV 's Noitamina programming block and elsewhere on July 6th of this year.

Synopsis
The story follows the ruthless swordsman Kenshin Himura, once known as one of the best swordsmen in the country, who is weary of killing. However, his past returns to haunt him, and Kenshin will be forced to wield his sword once more against old and new enemies surrounding him.
The series is directed by Hideyo Yamamoto at the animation studio Liden Films (Tokyo Revengers, Yofukashi no Uta), with composition by Hideyuki Kurata, character design by Terumi Nishii, and music by Yu Takami.
Watsuki and his wife, Kaoru Kurosaki, then launched the Rurouni Kenshin: Hokkaido Arc manga in Shueisha's Jump SQ magazine in September 2017. Publication resumed in June of 2018.
Finally, the second arc of Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X) begins on October 5th of this year.
