It dropped like a bomb!! During the third day of CCXP (Comic Con Experience), the dubbed trailer for Saint Seiya was shown , revealing that the character Shun of Andromeda will be a woman in the new adaptation produced by Netflix .

Shun, as everyone knows, is one of the legendary Bronze Saints, and his brother is Ikki of Phoenix, who helps him in tense times.
The announcement of Shun being a woman was met with harsh criticism from fans, both from purists who disliked the change and from those who felt it was an extremely lazy and prejudiced move by Netflix, changing a character considered effeminate by fans into a woman.
Obviously, more liberal viewers won't like seeing the old archetype of the princess being saved by the knight, even though this also happens with Athena throughout the anime.
