The official Twitter account for Akira Toriyama's film 'SAND LAND' revealed additional cast members and a new visual poster for the film on Tuesday (06).

- Tomokazu Sugita as Swimmer's father
- Koji Yusa as Pike
- Hiroyuki Yoshino as Shark
- Masafumi Kobatake as Guppy
The cast includes:
- Mutsumi Tamura as Beelzebub
- Kazuhiro Yamaji as Rao
- Cho as Thief
- Satoshi Tsuruoka as General Are
- Nobuo Tobita as General Zau
Toshihisa Yokoshima (“Tales of Crestoria: The Wake of Sin,” “Amanatsu,” “Cocolors,” Dragon Quest game sequels) is directing the film at Sunrise, while Kamikaze Douga and Anima are directing with Hiroshi Koujina (Ryoma! The Prince of Tennis, The Vampire Dies in No Time, Grenadier) serving as directorial advisor. Hayashi Mori (Cells at Work! Code Black, Drifting Home) is writing the script. Yoshikazu Iwanami is directing the sound, while Yugo Kanno (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders, Psycho-Pass, Ajin) is composing the music.
The work was previously announced in December as a “screen adaptation.”
The Sand Land manga is therefore a short series that Toriyama serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from May to August 2000. Shueisha published one volume of the manga in November 2000.
Synopsis
Humans and demons coexist in a hostile place. When the river that once supplied the entire world dries up, the King takes control of all remaining water distribution. So, the old sheriff Lao sets out in search of the legendary Fountain of Dreams , accompanied by the demon Beelzebub and his friend Thief.
