Shio Taiō no Satō-san is getting an anime adaptation and will premiere in 2026

The official website announced that the light novel Shio Taiō no Satō-san ga Ore ni Dake Amai ( The Salty Koharu Has a Soft Spot for Me ) will receive an anime adaptation in 2026. In addition, the project revealed a promotional video, teaser visual, and the main cast and production staff.

The series is directed by Fumihiro Yoshimura, known for My Wife Has No Emotion , at Tezuka Productions . Takashi Aoshima, screenwriter of The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You, is supervising the scripts.

Anime team and production team

The character design will be by Daisuke Okushima, while the soundtrack will be composed by Shun Narita, who worked on 365 Days to the Wedding. The combination of these professionals suggests a production focused on romantic storytelling with a lighthearted approach.

Synopsis of Shio Taiō no Satō-san

The story follows Sōta Oshio, a student who works at a café. He discovers that Koharu Satō, known as cold at school, is actually just shy. From that moment on, the two gradually grow closer, exploring a romance with unrequited feelings on both sides.

Shio Taiō no Satō-san ga Ore ni Dake Amai is a romantic comedy light novel written by Kazami Sawatari and illustrated by Aitiki, published by Shogakukan since 2019. The series also has a manga adaptation by Kaya Tetsuyama, available on the Manga ONE and Ura Sunday platforms.
