The anime fan community is in mourning this Friday (27). Sayuri, a Japanese singer and composer known for her beautiful interpretations of anime ending themes, passed away on September 20 at the age of 28.

In a statement, her husband shared the news on X (formerly Twitter), stating that her funeral was attended by close relatives and acquaintances. However, the young artist was passionate about music, despite battling a chronic illness.
Sayuri captivated audiences with her memorable performances of "Parallel Line" from the anime Scum's Wish , where the melancholy of her music added even more depth to the narrative. Another success was "Flower Tower" from the anime Lycoris Recoil, where her voice brought the series' ending theme to life, winning fans worldwide.
Finally, she also contributed to the fourth season of My Hero Academia and to the acclaimed Erased, where her ending song captured the essence of each story in a touching way.
