The highly anticipated third season of Grand Blue Dreaming has received a new promotional video and confirmed its premiere date of July 6, 2026 in Japan. The preview highlights the opening theme “Natsuko”, performed by the group FUNKY MONKEY BΛBY'S, as well as the ending theme “Hadaka no Mermaid”, sung by the group MAMESHiBA NO TAiGUN. The production of the ending theme was handled by comedian and actor Kuro-chan.

New characters in Grand Blue Dreaming

Among the new cast members are MAO as Karina, Sayaka Ōhara as Sayaka Kotegawa, Asami Seto as Chief, and Aya Suzaki as Maki. This new phase also marks an important change for the series.

For the first time, the story will leave Japan and part of its events will take place in Palau. The tropical setting promises to serve as the backdrop for more chaotic situations involving Iori Kitahara and his friends.

Based on the manga by Kenji Inoue and Kimitake Yoshioka, published since 2014 in Good! Afternoon magazine, Grand Blue Dreaming mixes university life, diving, and exaggerated humor. The story follows Iori, who moves to a seaside town expecting a peaceful academic life, but ends up surrounded by parties, unlikely friendships, and completely absurd situations.

Finally, the first season of the anime Grand Blue Dreaming premiered in 2018, while the second season concluded in September 2025.
