The new anime Sword of the Demon Hunter (Kijin Gentou Shou) had its first trailer announced today, the 22nd. Therefore, the series was announced for November 2023.

The previously announced anime adaptation of Kijin Gentoushou is scheduled for this summer. Animation production will be handled by Yokohama Animation Lab (Hametsu no Oukoku, Lapis Re:LiGHTs).

Synopsis:

The story unfolds during Japan's Edo period and revolves around Jinta, a bodyguard tasked with protecting a priestess in a remote mountain village. Despite being an outsider in the community, Jinta finds himself entrusted with an epic mission: hunting a demon deep within the forest. However, upon confronting the demon, he is confronted with an enigmatic future full of mysteries.

Finally, Kijin Gentōshō began publication in June 2019 with art by Tamaki. The work has over 230,000 copies in circulation in Japan.
