The highest-grossing film was Spirited Away, which officially premiered in China 18 years after its release. However, the Studio Ghibli closed the year with 488 million Yuan (347 million reais).
Tenki no Ko – The movie arrives in Brazilian cinemas
Second place went to Tenki no Ko (Weathering With You), which grossed 288 million Yuan (164 million reais) throughout 2019. However, compared to Kimi no Na wa, the film didn't even reach half that amount, as its predecessor grossed the equivalent of 352 million reais.
