The press release revealed that the new film will be called “Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken: Tears of the Blue Sea Arc (Soukai no Namida-hen)”, with a premiere scheduled for February 2026 in Japanese theaters.
It's worth noting that, although the fourth season has already been officially announced, there is still no set release date. This means that, until further notice, this film will be the franchise's next major return to the screen.
Tensei Shitara Slime Synopsis:
Satoru Mikami, a 37-year-old man working in an office in Tokyo, led a simple and uneventful life. Although content with his routine, he never had a girlfriend. Everything changes when, during a casual conversation with a colleague, Satoru is attacked and dies. While fighting for survival, a strange voice echoes in his mind, reciting enigmatic commands he doesn't understand. Upon awakening, Satoru discovers he has been reborn as a slime in a completely new world. In this new body, he gains special abilities, such as the capacity to devour anything and copy its characteristics and powers.
Therefore, the original novels were released by Fuse on the independent platform Shousetsuka ni Narou between 2013 and 2016. However, the print version debuted with the publisher Micro Magazine in 2014.
