The characters in Blue Lock have evolved tremendously since the beginning of the story. Therefore, the most recent arc is the greatest demonstration of their abilities. Blue Lock has just concluded the Neo-Egoist League arc, which anime fans can look forward to seeing in the third season. Thanks to this, Blue Lock has officially defined the best players in the Blue Lock program and those who will form the new Japanese under-20 national team for the World Cup .
The best Blue Lock players – Top 11
11. Tabito Karasu

Tabito Karasu was introduced as the third-best player in Blue Lock and someone who looks down on those he considers mediocre. As revealed in the Blue Lock spinoff, Blue Lock: Episode Nagi, however, Karasu's attitude masks his feelings of insecurity, and he genuinely respects people who manage to be themselves without caring what others think.
Karasu's analytical skills make him someone who adapts easily to real-time situations, which is why he played as a midfielder during the Under-20 match. Although he didn't do much during his time at PXG, his performance placed him 11th at the end of the Neo-Egoist League. Karasu only occupies such a low position due to the little attention he received, but with the arrival of the World Cup, this should change.
10. Rensuke Kunigami

Rensuke Kunigami is one of Isagi's oldest friends from Team Z and someone who used to be a kind and helpful person. After going through the Wild Card program to survive, Kunigami transformed into a cold and domineering figure who only cares about winning, although Isagi and the others still believe he's the same person deep down.
After going through the Wild Card program, Kunigami's physicality and precision have greatly improved, making him a faithful imitation of Noel Noa, the best striker in the world, and he even scored two goals in matches against Barcha and Manshine City. Kunigami had a predominantly supporting role in the second half of the Neo-Egoist League arc, but with his eighth-place finish, there is certainly much more to be achieved.
09. Gin Gagamaru

Gin Gagamaru is another member of Team Z and one of the few to survive the Second Selection. When it came time for Blue Lock to play an exhibition match against the Under-20 team, Gagamaru was forced to become goalkeeper due to his long limbs and flexibility, and he has played in that position ever since.
The fact that Gagamaru can so easily transition from striker to goalkeeper is just one testament to his natural talent, and the Neo-Egoist League has seen his skills develop even further, with him making miraculous save after miraculous save. Gagamaru has risen even higher than Gen Fukaku, someone who purposefully played as a goalkeeper, and he will certainly be one of the greatest players in World Cup history.
08. Oliver Aiku

Oliver Aiku is the former captain of the under-20 team and a master of defense as a centre-back. Although Aiku initially despised the Blue Lock, playing against them and eventually losing to them caused him to come to respect them, and he joined the Blue Lock program wholeheartedly after they took over the under-20s.
With his spatial awareness and Metavision, a term that defines an almost omnipotent understanding of the field at all times, Aiku is consistently one of Blue Lock and, unsurprisingly, was one of the few members of the under-20 team to survive the Neo-Egoist League, finishing in 10th place. No other character possesses Aiku's defensive abilities, and they will certainly shine even brighter at the World Cup.
07. Yo Hiori

Yo Hiori was introduced in the second season of Blue Lock , although he only gained prominence at the end of the Neo-Egoist League arc. Hiori joined the Blue Lock program as a way to end his soccer career, after growing tired of his parents raising him to be a master, but watching Isagi made Hiori develop a genuine passion for soccer and become Isagi's best friend.
Thus, he uses his Metavision and his analytical playmaking ability to execute incredible passes and interceptions and control the game, and both were vital in helping Isagi score some of his greatest goals in the Neo-Egoist League. Hiori may have finished in 16th place, but it's clear that his lack of passion for most of the Neo-Egoist League was the sole reason he didn't achieve a higher ranking, and this will certainly be reflected in future games.
06. Hyoma Chigiri

Hyoma Chigiri is a promising former soccer player whose high school career was cut short when he tore his anterior cruciate ligament during a match. Chigiri joined Blue Lock as a way to end his soccer career, but with Isagi's encouragement, Chigiri rediscovered his passion for the sport and has been an important player for Blue Lock ever since.
Chigiri's incredible speed made him a vital part of every team he played for in Blue Lock , and by the end of the Neo-Egoist League, Chigiri was ranked as the sixth best player in Blue Lock and the only one in Manshine City with a consistently good performance. Chigiri has always been one of the main characters in Blue Lock, and that won't change one bit in the upcoming arcs.

05. Meguru Bachira

Meguru Bachira is another member of Team Z and Isagi's best friend in the Blue Lock program. Initially, Bachira wanted to be in Blue Lock to find more people like him, but near the end of season 1, he finally developed his ego and learned to be independent when necessary, without giving up his desire to be with Isagi.
Bachira was introduced as a master of dribbling, something that only improved as he developed his ego. Although he didn't receive much attention in the Neo-Egoist League, Bachira finished the Neo-Egoist League in 5th place and was one of the main reasons for Nagi's elimination from Blue Lock. Bachira is undoubtedly one of Blue Lock's best players and, hopefully, the World Cup will allow him to shine again.
04. Shouei Barou

Shouei Barou was introduced as a selfish person and an antagonistic figure to Isagi. Instead of becoming kinder, however, Barou redoubled his selfishness and grew thanks to the humility instilled in him, becoming one of Isagi's greatest rivals.
With his overwhelming physicality, his willingness to disrupt his own teammates to win, and the power of his Predator Eye—a unique form of analysis focused on finding gaps in the goalkeeper's defense—Barou is a menacing player in every aspect and, in fact, finished the Neo-Egoist League in 4th place. Barou's growth in Blue Lock is impressive, and there's no predicting how far he'll go in the World Cup.

03. Ryusei Shido

Ryusei Shido was introduced at the end of the first season and immediately established himself as an antagonistic figure by purposefully eliminating Kunigami. From there, he gradually became a chaotic figure who constantly joked and fought with people, to the point that Blue Lock temporarily got rid of him and had him play for the under-20 team in their exhibition match.
Shido's strength and top-tier speed, combined with his talent for always getting close to the goal, consistently made him one of Blue Lock's best players, and he remained at the top throughout the Neo-Egoist League until Shido finished it as Blue Lock's third-best player. There is no character in Blue Lock quite like Shido, and there's no predicting what will happen now that he and Isagi finally have the chance to work together.
02. Rin Itoshi

He is one of the best players in the country and the younger brother of the genius Sae Itoshi. After a falling out with Sae, Rin took on the mission of defeating him and regaining his respect. With Isagi stealing both from him, Rin also became Isagi's greatest rival.
With his incredible spatial awareness and the driving force behind his self-destructive personality, Rin has become the perfect mirror image of Isagi. In fact, the Neo-Egoist League ended with Isagi and Rin tied for first place. The World Cup arc will undoubtedly see Sae's return and a rematch between him and Rin, and with how much Rin has grown, that's something to look forward to.
01. Yoichi Isagi

Finally, Yoichi Isagi is, of course, the protagonist of Blue Lock. Initially someone who simply wanted to win, but lacked the talent to make it happen. However, the Blue Lock program forced Isagi to evolve into a master of the game! By the end of the Under-20 tournament, he essentially became the face of the entire program.
Although initially an average player, Isagi's physicality and analytical mind grow rapidly throughout the series. Especially with the development of Metavision, he quickly dominates every match he participates in! To the point that, after Bastard Munchen's match against PXG, the Neo-Egoist League ended with Isagi and Rin tied for first place. Isagi's growth is undeniable, and he easily stands out as the best player in all of Blue Lock.
