Studio MAPPA has built a very strong brand in recent years after being responsible for the production of several popular anime. However, the studio has been left with a very heavy workload that has even Gege Akutami , the creator of Jujutsu Kaisen .

Currently, MAPPA has adapted the anime for Chainsaw Man, Vinland Saga, Attack on Titan, Hell's Paradise, and Jujutsu Kaisen. The second season of Jujutsu Kaisen premieres in July, and its latest trailer showcased high-quality animation, which impressed Gege Akutami. The mangaka commented that he loved the trailer for his anime but is concerned about MAPPA's work due to the studio's intense and relentless pace.
"All the animation cuts for the second trailer of the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen were very good. I'm worried about the [animation] studio."
Synopsis:
The story follows Yuji Itadori, a high school student who becomes involved with a secret society of sorcerers called Jujutsu Kaisen, which fights against curses, evil beings that haunt the world of the living. To protect his friends and family, Yuji decides to become a sorcerer and joins other members of Jujutsu Kaisen, including his mentor, the powerful sorcerer Satoru Gojo.
The first season of the anime premiered in October 2020 and consisted of 24 episodes animated by studio MAPPA.
