The publisher Shogakukan revealed that the manga Detective Conan has 250 million copies in circulation worldwide (including unsold copies).
The 100th volume of the manga was shipped to Japan on Monday.
Author Aoyama launched the Detective Conan manga in 1994.
The manga was adapted into an anime that has been airing since 1996, and also spawned a series of films. The 24th film in the series, Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet, premiered on April 16th. The film grossed a total of 7,479,317,860 yen.
