Epic Games has confirmed the arrival of the Fantastic Four to Fortnite, further expanding the list of collaborations between the battle royale and the Marvel universe. The game's official account announced the news on social media, marking the return of the heroes to the game, now with complete skins and new content. The release is scheduled for July 25th, the same date as the premiere of the movie Fantastic Four: First Steps in theaters.

In addition to exciting the community with new visuals, the crossover will also feature a special tournament that will give players the chance to unlock rewards before the official release in the game's store.
Skins bring themed items and custom animations
The four classic team characters, Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and Thing, will be available with detailed visuals and unique features. Each of them will receive an exclusive item that enhances their abilities from the comics. For example, the Human Torch will have the "Flame On!" emote, which allows the player to switch to his flaming version, while the Invisible Woman will use the "Psychic Orbs" as a built-in pickaxe.
Mr. Fantastic will come equipped with the "Fantastic Fists," a pair of pickaxes inspired by his elastic arms, and an emote called "Fantastic Calculations." The Thing, on the other hand, will have a variation in visual style and, likely, the famous phrase "It's Clobberin' Time" as an animation highlight.
However, these details were revealed after a series of leaks confirmed by Epic itself, reinforcing the solid partnership between the developer and Marvel Studios.
Competitive event will allow early unlocking
To celebrate the collaboration, Fortnite will host the “Fantastic Four Cup” on July 23rd. The event will be competitive and will allow the best teams from each region to unlock the skins before the official release. In addition, there will be extra rewards for those who accumulate playtime during the tournament, such as the “It's Clobberin' Time” spray and the “Flame On” emoticon. The tournament date also anticipates the release of the new film, creating a synchronized campaign between the game and the cinema.
In recent years, Fortnite has established itself as a showcase for the geek and pop culture universe, hosting themed events from major franchises such as Avengers, Star Wars, Dragon Ball, and Naruto.
